Record
Capture audio onto sample voices — the record-mode dialog, live/fast-rec on the grid, and every leaf under menu REC (input, gains, trigger, clear policy).
Record mode dialog
From the sample browser, hold touch 3 to enter record mode for the current sample voice. Recordings are written as numbered files such as rec_01.wav inside the current browse folder.
Idle: threshold column, live level column, RDY text, Y/R/G/X hints.
1 Encoder 1
| Turn | Threshold | 0–100; column on x=1 visualises the bar. |
| Short | Arm threshold | Enables auto-start on level cross. |
2 Encoder 2
| Short | Start recording | Manual fire, pairs with threshold arming. |
3 Encoder 3
| Short | Play / stop review | SD preview of last take; also acts as global stop while recording. |
4 Encoder 4
| Short | Exit to sample browser | Stops recording if needed, drops onto the new file for trim/load. |
Threshold-armed recordings auto-stop after ~1 s if the input falls under half the threshold. Maximum take length is 12 seconds per voice. Input source, gains, and clear policy are set in the REC submenu below.
Live recording on a voice
Beyond the formal dialog, the firmware supports an 8-channel live-loop style flow: touch-hold during playback can capture audio onto a voice for up to 12 seconds, and “one-shot” recordings can drop a take onto a single channel.
Behaviour depends on REC → CLR (clear/merge policy) and REC → TRIG (trigger style). Treat this as the performance front-end for the same recording engine. Touch 3 on the grid is the usual entry — see Controls → Touch pads.
INPT — input source
| Option | Effect |
| MIC | Mic path — built-in capsule or Mic-in jack (see Hardware). |
| LINE | Top-edge stereo line in — synths, drum machines, modular. |
Flips which gain page (MIC vs L-IN) actually matters.
MIC — mic preamp gain
3 Encoder 3
| Turn | 0–63 | Watch the record meter; red peaks mean back off. |
L-IN — line input trim
3 Encoder 3
| Turn | 0–15 | Coarser than MIC — line gear is already loud. Synths often happy around 6–10. |
TRIG — when capture starts
| Option | Effect |
| OFF | Manual — you start the take. |
| SENS | Threshold — arms when the input crosses the level set on the record screen. |
| −CON / +CON | Count-in flavours before rolling. |
CLR — note clear policy
What happens to notes on the voice you just re-recorded into.
| Option | Effect |
| OFF | Keep notes — new sound under the old arrangement. |
| ON | Wipe every note on the voice. |
| FIX | Wipe notes but keep velocity / probability / lane volume. |
| ON1 | Wipe the current page only. |
| CLIC | Wipe and plant a click on step 1 so you can hear the sample on the grid. |
